Campaign group EveryDoctor has once again shone a light on the murky financial ties between UK politicians and the private healthcare sector—connections that signal further corporate influence over the future of the NHS. The group, known for its persistent efforts to expose NHS privatisation, has revealed that MPs received more than £2.7 million in donations from individuals and companies with vested interests in private healthcare between 2023 and 2025. This builds on previous findings.
By October 2024, the Good Law Project reported that over 60% of Streeting’s donations came from people and companies connected to the private health sector—signalling deepening entanglement. Now, EveryDoctor’s new research reveals:
Founder Dr. Julia Grace Patterson called the findings “appalling,” especially the revelation that lobbyists are funneling money into Parliament through donations. This is just the beginning. EveryDoctor plans to release a detailed report and updated map of the links between politicians and private health interests, revealing the extent of corporate capture in UK healthcare policy. Their previous investigations laid the groundwork: mapping the vast scale of NHS outsourcing and exposing how NHS England has poured public money into private mental health services. In this context, it’s no surprise that the Labour government appears to be continuing the Tory-led drive toward NHS privatisation. With more revelations expected, EveryDoctor’s next report is likely to confirm what many fear: politicians—across parties—are increasingly aligned with private healthcare profiteers, not the public they were elected to serve.
